Introduction to English Stories

Reading is fundamental. When you learn how to read well in English, you also learn to speak well.

In this Lesson, we will improve your pronunciation and vocabulary using Fun and Interesting stories.

⭐Here are some essential tips before we start:

1. Don’t read fast🐴. Read slowly 🐢 and with time your speed will naturally improve. Pretend like you are reading to children -be slow but expressive. Read with the speed of a metronome (like the one below).

   

   

2. Try and understand what you read🧐. Comprehension is crucial. Study the vocabulary cards for every story.

3. Use the audio 🔊  for each story to practice pronunciation. Imitate the audio until you sound the same.

4. Use the Recording Tool 🎙 to record your voice and check your pronunciation. This is key🔑 to your improvement.

5. Repeat the reading exercise at least 3 times 🔄  Practice, Practice, Practice makes proficient.
